Leadership in high profile projects, including contributions to the project’s basis of design, as well as direct supervision and responsibility on all marine aspects of offshore drilling units, including rig moves, ship modifications, cargo logistics, marine inspection, certification, stability calculations, safety programs, training, budge preparation, big proposals and personnel mentoring.
Participated, managed and directly supervised design, fabrication of complex equipment systems, new construction and refurbishment and repair of mature offshore rigs with shipyard experienced in China, Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria, Russia, and the United States.
Started the Dutton Navigation Rig Move School for jack-ups as the author of the textbook “Introduction to Practical Rigmoving” and designed the simulator encompassing twin screw vessel operation, towing practices and jack-up rig positioning techniques over fixed offshore platforms.
